In his work Musk Ming (Muskboy) likes to use typical elements from the Mao era, like the Mao cap and the Red Book. But the way he uses these elements is also an indictment of the many injustices in present-day China and the time in which Mao wrought havoc. Many of his works would not be tolerated in China and would be confiscated for their political content or sexual overtones.
